Hi friends! How are ya? I hope you\u2019re having a lovely morning. We\u2019ve had tons of rain here in Tucson and it\u2019s been positively dreaming. I\u2019m looking forward to a walk in the cooler weather this afternoon!<\/p>\n

For today\u2019s post, I wanted to share a recap of the books I\u2019ve read lately. tbh, reading is still towards the end of my priority list right now. I haven\u2019t made as much time to read this year because we\u2019re still trying to find our groove of homeschooling, working, and holding it down while the Pilot is traveling. I\u2019m also making my way through IHP3<\/a> and Peptides for Practitioners<\/a> couse. Usually when I\u2019m solo parenting, by the time I get the kids to bed and the laundry folded, I pretty much collapse into bed.<\/p>\n

So needless to say, it\u2019s been a little slower on the reading front, but I\u2019ve still managed to read some amazing books lately!<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s a recap of what I\u2019ve read lately and if I recommend adding these to your list!<\/p>\n

Books I\u2019ve read lately<\/h2>\n

From Here to the Great Unkown<\/a><\/em><\/h3>\n

I\u2019ve always been a huge fan of Elvis and had the biggest crush on him when I was in high school. (The Elvis from his prime, ok? haha) I\u2019ve always been intrigued by his life and family, so when I heard about this book, written by his daughter Lisa Marie Presley, I knew I wanted to listen to the audio version. It includes recorded clips from Lisa Marie and is also narrated by Julia Roberts (soooo good) and Elvis\u2019 granddaughter, Riley Keogh.<\/p>\n

The book traces Lisa Marie\u2019s extraordinary yet tumultuous life as Elvis Presley\u2019s only child. It explores fame, identity, addiction, heartbreak, and the deep grief of losing her son. Through Riley\u2019s reflections and the discovery of her mother\u2019s recorded tapes, the memoir is an example of resilience and a love letter between mother and daughter. I highly recommend the audio version \u2013 9\/10<\/p>\n

The Paris Achitect<\/a><\/em><\/h3>\n

The Paris Architect is a beautifully written, suspenseful story set in Nazi-occupied Paris. It follows Lucien Bernard, a talented architect who\u2019s hired to design secret hiding places for Jewish families \u2013 work that could cost him his life if he\u2019s discovered. What starts as a job for extra money quickly becomes something much deeper as Lucien\u2019s courage and conscience grow with every risky project. It\u2019s a story about bravery, redemption, and how ordinary people can do extraordinary things when they choose compassion over fear. This was an amazing story \u2013 I also loved the architectural details throughout \u2013 and I loved the ending. 9\/10<\/p>\n
